My Biography

My name is Jessica. I am the owner and a stylist at Pacific Valley Salon. I am married to my best friend, and we share two amazing, fun, wild dogs - Grizzly and Bird. We also share five cats. Yep, you read that right five - Lucifer, Grimm, Cotton, Finch and Bitter.

To start off I love what I do. I get to wake up every day and help people. Something I have always wanted to do in my life but was not sure how. After living in Colorado, I came home to the central coast and thought I'd try a new adventure. That was when I fell in love with color in Cosmetology school and the love still continues. Then as time went on, I fell in love with other aspects. The techniques, the chemistry, the angles, the different hair textures, the unexpected and expected results, and over time I grew to love everything I was doing. My heart is overflowing with love for the hair world, but my true love will always be color: highlights, balayage, all over, just roots etc. You name it I love it.

I don't do this job just for the paycheck. I do this job to bring joy and happiness to those around me. I do this job to bring happiness and joy to myself as well. I do it to bring relaxation and a chance to be pampered for my clients. I do it to get out of my comfort zone and into a position where I get to interact and meet new people. And at the end of the day, it is not a job I dread but a position in a career I love.
